As I might have mentioned in posts that were removed via Tabula Rasa Light (TBL), I have a great many people who know me in 3D meat-space asking me about the posts I put here. One question that has been asked quite frequently is about my Car DVR.
The best question, and one that sums up the most common one is; “Why do you have a Car DVR?”
As I might have stated in posts removed via TBL, I commute from Norfolk to Hampton and back everyday. In my years of such a commute, I have seen and almost been involved in many, many accidents due to the aggressive and reckless driving of others. I even posted one video from witnessing one accident before.
These are why I have a Car DVR.
First is one of the local crazy ladies crossing a crosswalk.
The really, really sad things is that she is not crazy and this is typical. Note how she simply walked in front of the red truck? I guess this is a cultural thing to walk into traffic and expect people to stop.
Here is another driver from that same cultural outlook where if you get in the way you are the problem…
..and note the gesture telling me that I was “number one” by use of the middle finger.
This is the type of driver to scream foul if I were to hit her while she illegally cut across the parking lot.
The really, really sad thing is that theses occurred in my local area and doesn’t include a gaggle of people who walked into traffic and were horrified when two of them were hit by oncoming traffic.
While I do not have video of the hit, I do have video of them walking into traffic when I passed by them.
So, are you no longer questioning why I have a Car DVR?
