I was never in the military and never a military brat, but my father served in WWII.
Honor, duty and loyalty are the outdated and atavistic ideals I have dared to try to pass onto my children.
In that spirit, I made a promise a few weeks ago that if I was able to go back to work, I would support more worthy causes than I currently do.
I have added the Wounded Warrior Project to my list of monthly donations rather than sporadic donations.
I have never been a fan of war and it is no secret that I think that the current war, such as it is, that we are involved in is a fool’s errand and that the blood our solider are spilling are not worth the people they spill their blood for, but such is the life of a soldier.
I would never ask others to do what I am not willing to do.
Regardless of what you think of the war, our duty-bound military men and women deserve our support.
Give once, more than once or monthly if you can.
