I’ve received quite a few condemnations for posting this story when it came out. Most of the replies are about me trying to cash in on this missing teen.
Let me address these first. Two of my daughters not only went to school with AJ, but both were on the Field Hockey team with her and my wife knew her.
Sometimes, people actually do things like this simply to find a missing friend.
The major update is this new article from WTKR Channel 3.
From the article:
“According to a 2005 press release from the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office in Ohio, Hadsell was indicted for rape, kidnapping, assault and domestic violence.
The press release says the then 27-year-old was indicted on those charges just before his then estranged wife went missing. Those charges were later dropped.
Then a year later in 2006, the U.S. Attorney’s Office confirmed Hadsell was arrested again, sentenced to 54 months in jail for a bank robbery in Fredericksburg.”
A criminal past does not mean he did anything nefarious but, it is often true that such people are victims of someone close that they trust.
